In executing its business of rubber compounding, rubber kneading, press molding, silicone rubber molding, metal work, plastic molding, and the manufacturing and sales of garden supplies, emergency supplies, outdoor equipment, the Mita Company Ltd. (hereafter “Mita”) recognizes the importance of protecting the personal information of customers and employees, as well as personally identifiable information (Individual Number, aka “My Number”), while its employees understand the importance of protecting personal information. We comply with the law and ordinances of each country, develop an accountability structure, and continuously reevaluate and improve this to ensure that proper handling of personal information is effective and suitable on an ongoing basis.
1. Systematic Activities for Personal Information Protection
- All executives and employees shall comply with the law, ordinances, guidelines stipulated by the national government, and other codes regarding the handling of personal information.
- We have appointed a manager who engages in and has the responsibility and authority to execute and operate the protection of personal information.
- We continuously reevaluate and improve the personal information protection structure according to changes in the environment around Mita and social conditions.
2. Handling of Personal Information
Mita also places suitable measures to ensure that personal information is not handled beyond what is needed to achieve the purpose of use.
When disclosure, correction, and other are sought of personal information, this shall be accommodated quickly within a reasonable time frame and limits.
We will also properly respond to complaints or concerns about personal information.
Mita retains personal information in its accurate and updated form and places measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, destruction, manipulation, leakage, etc. of personal information.
Mita shall revise personal information initiatives as needed and conducts routine inspections to prevent personal information incidents from happening.
Mita does not directly acquire your sensitive personal information.
When handling personal information, we will notify or directly ask for your agreement before acquiring it.
Further, we are not in the business of providing personal information to third parties or other countries.
Should a personal information-related incident occur at Mita, we will immediately report this, take steps quickly to prevent damage from spreading, analyze the causes of the incident, and adopt measures to prevent reoccurrence.
When Mita subcontracts outside parties to process personal information, we shall sign a contract to ensure that there is no leakage or submission to any other party and conduct suitable management.
Personal information received from consignors shall be stringently managed and used within the scope of contracts.
